Cleaning Greasy Wood Kitchen Cabinets | A century ago, materials that have been being used for kitchen countertops were an entirely different ball game from what is being used today. Through out my remodeling career I have torn out many a classic countertop from homes that have been built-in earlier 1900’s and also the original nailed down countertop was still being in position. I have seen tops that had several layers of vinyl then someone had installed a laminate, like Formica, on top of the layers of vinyl. Each new home owner had added the most recent as well as product that had been developed for kitchen countertops.
Today it can be almost work in order to keep up with all the new and or recycled products that are being used to produce countertops, especially since GREEN PRODUCTS movement has really started to grab steam. Not only are companies using recycled glass but they’re now using recycled paper and cardboard. Bamboo flooring has become out on the market for a while now but are you aware that you can get bamboo countertops. Plus, one company is even mixing recycled post consumer paper with bamboo fibers to produce their counter material. Scrap aluminum shavings is yet another material that is certainly now being mixed with a resin to make, what I think, is amongst the prettiest and many novel countertops in many years.
